Cuba shares the grief over the loss of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Father Emir of the State of Qatar

"With deep sorrow," the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, referred this Sunday, through X, to the "sad news of the passing of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Father Emir of the State of Qatar, a distinguished statesman who made a decisive contribution to the development of the modern and thriving State of Qatar."
The Cuban president added that the Qatari leader played an important role in forging the "historic bonds of friendship and solidarity between our nations. He was a dear friend of the Cuban people and of the Commander-in-Chief," he added.
"Cuba shares the grief felt by the friendly Qatari people and extends its heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, to his family, to the government, and to that brotherly nation," concluded the President of Cuba.
