Sanctions and threats of war: The last stand 

The White House, unmasked and at the feet of Marco Rubio and Mauricio Claver-Carone. The massive demonstration of support for the Government and the Revolution this May 1st is "too much of a challenge" for an administration that believes itself to be the master of the world and all-powerful in the Western Hemisphere.

Havana has dared to show popular support and has celebrated Labor Day while Washington seeks surrender and demobilization through massive punishment.

The Cuban people raised their voices when Goliath seeks silence and to mute them through hunger or suffering. As a premeditated and calculated response, the unrestrained leader signed new sanctions for subjugation and colonialism, while again predicting the use of military force to make Cuba "surrender."

Lies and manipulation return to this weighty political document, serving as a pretext to further tighten the grip on Cubans, in an effort to force them to relinquish their independence and sovereignty and submit to the whims of the worst elements.

"Dialogue" through pressure, leaks, and blackmail goes from the unacceptable to cynical, from brazenness to ultimatums, from fabrication to a crude pretext to justify courses of action completely contrary to logic and understanding. From supposed steps and commitments to total inertia and the suspension of previously agreed-upon agendas.

Negotiation as suicide and deception, as attrition and lies, as a show of force and a warning, as a lethal trap set by wolves and vampires, wielding a destructive and macabre plan, meticulously laid out from secret offices of the State Department by loyal Miami mobsters, who carry out express orders from the National Security Advisor and Secretary of State, who monopolizes the political directive toward Cuba, at the behest of the vengeful far right in Florida, bent on restoring the corrupt and annexationist empire of Havana.

This May 1st, Cuba spoke again of peace and ending the blockade, while the U.S. spoke of aircraft carriers and more sanctions. The sentiment of more than 6 million souls in the face of the genocidal threat of weapons.
