Cuban Foreign Minister denounces the repercussions of a military aggression against the island

Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Foreign Affairs, condemned on his social media profile the disastrous implications of a military aggression by the U.S. government against Cuba.
The Foreign Minister stated that the attack would cause a true humanitarian catastrophe, a bloodbath. "Cuban and American citizens would lose their lives, a scenario only those politicians who don't send their children and relatives to wars are willing to risk," he said.
Along the same lines, the Minister stated that "there is not the slightest reason, not even the slightest pretext, for a superpower like the U.S. to militarily attack a small island that poses no threat whatsoever, simply because a few people want to change its political system or government."
Furthermore, Rodríguez Parrilla reiterated that such actions would constitute a direct threat to regional peace and stability, and reaffirmed Cuba’s willingness to defend its sovereignty against any attempt at external imposition.
