Allies are suspicious, citizens distrust and denounce, humanity fears and suffers, the entire world is attacked by the law of the strongest and the massive use of lies to ignite wars for global domination.
This is the stark reality of global bewilderment in the face of the latest aggressions by imperialism, which seeks to consolidate impunity for its crimes, to supplant International Law with military superiority, the blackmail of tariffs and political-diplomatic, economic-financial pressure, and the complicity of silence, permissiveness, or the acquiescence of others.
Apocalyptic figures like the anti-Cuban congressmen, who have sought to inflict every kind of harm on the island's population and sow hatred and division among families and loved ones for perverse ends, call for military invasion and scorched earth policies, urging suicide and mass punishment in the name of anti-communism, fascism, and annexationism.
They bombard the Revolution, its historical leaders, the generation that defeated the bloody Batista tyranny, and the new generations that defend the social gains and human rights of more than six decades with lies and derogatory epithets.
All this while they continue to invest and earn millions in the lucrative business of the war against Cuba in all spheres, including recruiting, arming, training, and sending mercenaries and terrorists from Florida, or other parts of the world, to their deaths.
Those who turned their backs on their Cuban and Hispanic community residing in Florida in the face of persecution, witch hunts, and mass deportations of immigrants are the ones who, in the name of a false "freedom," call for people to starve themselves, become ill, let their children, parents, or grandparents die, "sacrifice yourselves, return to being slaves, obedient lambs of the North."
The ultraconservative Carlos Giménez, the controversial María Elvira Salazar, and the no less vengeful Mario Díaz-Balart head the list of a historical mafia, accompanied by other representatives or descendants of the sell-out oligarchy that supported Fulgencio Batista in the stampede of December 31, 1958, days or months later, with millions stolen from the Cuban people or pending legal cases.
It is a thinly veiled cry calling for a return to capitalism from Miami, along with the executioners, henchmen, mobsters, terrorists, and their descendants, who have not spent a single day in jail for the more than 20,000 murdered in Cuba before 1959, and the more than 3,500 fatalities from terrorism and more than 3,000 wounded and maimed over these 67 years.
Lies and war are used to try to dominate the world, and Cuba is a current piece on the chessboard of global geopolitics, a constant target of attack, a symbol of dignity and resistance, a government of the people and by the people, a victim of the Machiavellian schemes of the hawks, determined to impose their power through the force of bombs, intimidation, hunger, and death.
Truth and peace have always been Cuba's path, however great the challenges and threats, without fear and with the conviction that we are on the side of those who defend their self-determination, independence, sovereignty, and the social and justice gains that are sacred.
Those who only think about money and more power cannot understand this. Then, the light of our José Martí, National Hero of our independence, returns to illuminate us in these days of threats, and his words are always an impetus for the struggle:
"When there are many men without honor, there are always others who embody the honor of many. These are the ones who rebel with terrible force against those who steal the people's freedom, which is to steal their honor. In these men are thousands of men, an entire people, human dignity itself."
