SANTIAGO DE CUBA.- It is my wish that Fidel's example continues to inspire future generations," said, with reverent attitude and notable signs of gratitude, the President of the Republic of Namibia, Nangolo Mbumba, after depositing a floral offering, on behalf of his people, before the monolith that, in the Santa Ifigenia patrimonial cemetery, treasures the ashes of the Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, architect of the independence of that Southwest African nation.

Minutes before, to the rhythm of the notes of the Simple Verses, the Namibian president had placed flowers in the Mausoleum to the National Hero José Martí -a fierce defender of universal equality among people-, and whose name exalts the highest Order that our State imposes, of which Mbumba was the recipient.

Later, the Namibian delegation was bid farewell at the Antonio Maceo International Airport by the vice-governor of Santiago de Cuba, Waldis González Peinado, and other authorities of this province, concluding the official visit of the Head of State to our country.
