Given the need to produce more, the worker and his intelligence is the most valuable

Mayabeque: “Work, time and daily creation”. With these three elements, producer Juan Ignacio Alonso Enriquez defined the key to the results obtained in La Tinaja farm, which is part of a project that six families are involved in, and which covers a little more than 200 hectares.
Contributing and creating, he said, is the main mission of each one of our workers, because it is in the collective effort where the key to the results that have been consolidated during the last 20 years in these lands, located in the province of Mayabeque, lies.
The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, arrived early on Thursday morning to learn first-hand about what has been done there, and inquired about the destinies of the productions that are being promoted.
His visit is part of the cycle of tours that, since January last year, he began in all the municipalities of the country, with the purpose of evaluating the good experiences that are being implemented and what else can be done in those places where the necessary take-off is not yet achieved to take advantage of potentialities and multiply results.
Various crops, as well as pig, aquaculture and poultry farming, are the paths followed in La Tinaja to support the diversification of productions that have been gradually strengthened.
Their productions, especially milk and eggs, are mainly destined for social consumption in the province, although they also reach various segments of the population.
To continue increasing production, so that they reach more of the population and not only for social consumption, was the call of the Head of State, in dialogue with the producer and directors of the agricultural sector of the province.
Very close to the La Tinaja farm is the Soy Sauce Factory, which belongs to the National Canned Vegetables and Preserves Company. There, the Head of State continued his tour on Thursday, accompanied by the member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization, Roberto Morales Ojeda, and by the highest authorities of the Party and the Government of the province.
Even though they have not been manufacturing their leading product for years, they take advantage of the facilities to diversify productions: they are currently engaged in the production of tomato puree and tomato sauce.
According to the explanation offered by the company's director, Lázaro Pérez Díaz, the linkage with various productive forms of the territory was vital for last year's results, in which they were able to increase their products from eight to 32.
In addition to tomato production, the facilities also package and market other products such as cumin, oregano and pepper, which are mainly destined for some 48 customers in the state sector.
The Cuban President then visited the facilities of the Héctor Molina Agroindustrial Sugar Company, another of those that do not stop in the search for alternatives, in spite of the economic limitations.
The President learned about how the measures approved a couple of years ago in the country to boost the sugar industry and promote the production of sugar derivatives are being taken advantage of there.
Fourteen projects are currently being carried out for that purpose, including the start-up of a plant to obtain absolute alcohol for the biopharmaceutical industry.
These are experiences, said Díaz-Canel, which show that there are ways to continue producing, despite the complexities that have prevented the colossus from harvesting sugar cane in recent years.
And because the social work of the Cuban Revolution is unstoppable, shortly before concluding his visit to San Nicolás de Bari, President Díaz-Canel visited the Sweet Dreams kindergarten, inaugurated in August 2014.
Prior to the tour of the house, with a current enrollment of 16 children and capacity to accommodate 20, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party exchanged with local residents, to whom he commented on the purpose of his visit.
In spite of the complex situation, there are solutions
Jaruco was the second municipality visited on Thursday by the Head of State, who thus concluded in this province the first cycle of visits to all its territories, since January last year, when he started this system of work throughout the country.
The Escaleras de Jaruco Park was the first point visited in the territory. Here, a comprehensive investment project is being carried out to restore the functionality of the emblematic recreational and tourist site of the province.
According to the explanation offered by Alina Choy Martínez, director of Development of the Real Estate Enterprise of the Ministry of Tourism, in a first stage the investment is aimed at rehabilitating and putting into operation the existing objects of work since the Park began to function in 1967, as an idea of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
Later on, the project foresees the development of new attractions within the recreational area, located on the top of several cliffs, from which wonderful views of nature can be enjoyed.
An important investment process is also being undertaken at the Rómulo Padrón Feed Mill, with the purpose of recovering its facilities and producing animal feed that would allow the country to reduce imports in this area.
Two production lines are planned to be installed. The first one, with a more immediate execution, will have a daily capacity of 150 tons.
President Díaz-Canel spoke here of promoting production chains and making better use of domestic raw materials. This, he said, is essential to make the most of the investment being made.
The Head of State then went to the Noelio Capote comprehensive teaching polyclinic to talk to the population about the satisfaction with the basic health services provided there and the gradual recovery of its different areas.
Executives and workers of the medical institution explained, among other things, the epidemiological stability that has been achieved in the territory, and the positive results achieved in the maternal and infant mortality rates, the latter at zero this year.
Working, making an effort, taking advantage of the intelligence of our people is how we are going to get ahead, assured the Head of State to the population that was outside the Polyclinic.
What has been done shows us, he said, that we can continue to move forward, despite the difficulties.
