Events such as the 3rd edition of the International Transport and Logistics Fair (fitl -2025) are fundamental spaces to establish alliances, promote innovation, evaluate trends in global markets and strengthen cooperation between the government and non-state management.
This was expressed by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, while participating, Thursday, in the closing ceremony of the event accompanied by the member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee and head of the Department of Services, Yudí Rodríguez Hernández.
While touring the Pabexpo fairgrounds and sharing with exhibitors, the President stressed the importance of working together to promote sustainable transport, and highlighted the projects related to electric mobility, which respond to the change in the energy matrix that the country is promoting.
Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila, Minister of Transportation, said that more than 200 companies attended the Fair, where more than one hundred documents were signed, including contracts, memorandums and agreements that will boost exports and support the recovery, development and gradual growth of the transportation system.
fitl-2025 allowed progress in several projects such as the first electric bus terminal for passenger transportation in Havana; the acquisition of 20 new electric buses for the transportation of aviation workers, which support the public passenger system; the manufacture of electric hearses to meet that need in the country, and improve the maritime transportation of passengers to and from the Isle of Youth.
“The Fair was a sample of the Cuba we are building, in which we foster the most beneficial relations with foreign companies and with Cubans residing anywhere in the world interested in contributing to our sector, and the broadest participation of all forms of management in the interest of unleashing the collective will, the only one capable of recovering transportation in Cuba, a basic contribution to develop the economy and improve the quality of life of our people,” said the Minister.
