In Cuba, second batch of Chinese donation for the recovery of generators

Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, thanked the Party, the Government and the people of China for sending a donation that will contribute to the recovery of the National Electric System (SEN).
In his account in x, the Foreign Minister highlighted the solidarity of the Asian country and assured that Cuba is not alone.
This project of equipment and spare parts for electric generators distributed to Cuba was born as part of the consensus reached between the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic and the Asian giant's leader, Xi Jinping.
Hua Xin, Chinese ambassador to Cuba, said at the reception ceremony that this delivery is part of the second package of assistance from China this year, in order to help restore the generating capacity of about 400 megawatts in more than 70 diesel and fuel oil power plants in the national territory.
He specified that this batch of equipment weighs 69 tons, and contains radiators, motors and other accessories, while other donations for electricity generation are expected to arrive.
Déborah Rivas Saavedra, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, thanked, on behalf of the Cuban government and people, the efforts of the government authorities for the execution of this solidarity aid that will allow the recovery of 38 diesel generators and the maintenance of 50 fuel oil generators.
He assured that this will benefit the consumption of 53,200 homes, and will be a backup for the energy supply.
