The whole country is attentive to the possible formation of a cyclonic organism

The National Civil Defense General Staff decided to establish the Informative Phase, as of 18:00 hours yesterday, for the provinces of Camagüey, Ciego de Avila, Sancti Spíritus, Cienfuegos, Villa Clara, Matanzas, Mayabeque, Artemisa, Havana and Pinar del Río, and the special municipality Isla de la Juventud, for which reason Cuba remains attentive to the cyclonic threat in formation.This decision corresponds to the information issued by the Forecast Center of the Institute of Meteorology, which explains the existence of an area of low pressure in the south of the western Caribbean Sea, which has shown a better organization, increasing the probability of the formation of a tropical cyclonic organism.The report adds that, regardless of its evolution and future trajectory, due to its proximity to the national territory, areas of showers, rains and thunderstorms will increase in the western and central regions of the country.In the eastern region, clouds and rains will persist, associated with the influence of the trough extending from the Atlantic Ocean, for which reason hydro-meteorological surveillance should be increased.The population is advised to stay informed through the media and official profiles on social networks.The National General Staff of the Civil Defense and the Meteorology and National Hydraulic Resources institutes are keeping a watchful eye on the evolution of this low pressure system.
